The New Congress

The American voter spoke but did it mean what it did? If so, it has put into power people who want to go back to the 1960's without the problem of Nam hampering their socialism, their enviro and social agendas. Republicans lost their way. No conservative view of government, no lower spending caps, no cultural agendas. They simply failed being conservative Republicans that their voters thought they would be. We shall see if the New Congress led by liberal Democrats will please the voters throughout America. Calls for a President Obama amaze me. He is an empty suit with 2 years as a US Senator, and just an elected Illinois State Senate rep. Yipe! No military experience, no making a payroll, no business experience. But, he makes nice , looks nice, and is nice. Hiding the fact that he votes 100% liberal Democrat. Not a new Democrat. Oh well, we await the public in 2008. Meanwhile, for two years, the nation will face the ongoing threats of the murderous Islamofascists, which the Democrats now in power think is overestimated and can be dealt with by negotiations, cutting and running, cutting the military and being nice in the UN. Makes one yearn for the Rapture, the Second Coming or some type of Biblical answer. Seemingly, our politicians offer us no hope, peace, victory, or strength!
